    Weshalb wird die Ferieninsel geschlossen?

PAL, Cebu Pacific revise Boracay-bound flights Published April 5, 2018 12:38am Updated April 5, 2018 1:09am Philippine Airlines (PAL) and Cebu Pacific Air announced through social media accounts that services to Caticlan and Kalibo will be revised due to the order to close the resort-island for six months. The announcements were made after President Rodrigo Duterte approved the proposal to close Boracay Island to local and foreign tourists for six months so environment issues that have besieged the community would be resolved. PAL, in a statement, said the company will scale down services to Calictan and Kalibo airports and expand flights to other provincial destinations. "PAL will operate nine weekly flights between Manila and Kalibo and seven weekly flights between Manila and Caticlan to maintain continued links to these gateways to Boracay and Aklan province," the airline company announced. "Boracay is a national treasure," said PAL President Jaime J. Bautista. “We fully support the government's intention to make Boracay fully safe and environmentally friendly. Sustainable development is of critical concern, and we are one with the laudable goal to revert the island to a balanced eco-tourism paradise. We seek the understanding of our passengers as your flag carrier and the aviation industry cooperate in this multi-sectoral endeavor. In the long-term, a safe and revitalized Boracay will benefit all stakeholders in the travel and tourism sectors, and the Filipino people as a whole,” he added. On the other hand, Cebu Pacific Air advised that flight schedules to Caticalan and Kalibo are revised due to the Boracay closure.

    Weshalb wird die Ferieninsel geschlossen?

JETZT IST es definitiv (geschlossen, ab 26. April)...: Newsflash: "Duterte approves 6-month closure of Boracay beginning April 26 Published April 4, 2018 9:46pm Updated April 4, 2018 10:08pm By VIRGIL LOPEZ, GMA News President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday evening approved now the so far recommendation of three government agencies for a six-month closure of Boracay effective April 26 to make way for the rehabilitation of the world-famous holiday destination. Duterte arrived at the decision during the 24th Cabinet meeting in Malacañang where the proposal of the Departments of Environment and Natural Resources, Interior and Local Government, and Tourism was tackled, according to presidential spokesperson Harry Roque. Senior Deputy Executive Secretary Menardo Guevarra described the discussion on the matter as “exhaustive,” adding calamity funds “will be activated to tide affected workers over.” Before this, the Office of the President received the detailed memorandum containing the justification of the three agencies pushing for the closure. Details of the memorandum have yet to be released by the Palace, which it had asked in light of concerns on the closure's impact on businesses and livelihood in the area. The Palace had also considered a recommendation from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) for the shutdown to be done in phases. Stakeholders earlier said the impending closure of the prime tourist destination may result in at least P56 billion in foregone revenues and render 36,000 people jobless. Duterte had said that he will shut down the island, which he described as a "cesspool," if its sewage problem would remain unresolved in six months. He also threatened to slap sedition charges against those who would actively resist his plan to restore Boracay to its pristine state. —JST, GMA News"

Schon was zu spüren in Angeles?
